Charles Beckers, Venue accountmanager

When I think of MECC Maastricht, I think of a highly flexible, pleasant employer, but also of my daily work. It is never samey or boring. Each day is different. I give 100% each day at work. Some days, I give more! I believe team spirit and loyalty to be of the essence here, after all, united we stand. I realise to that I spend a lot of time during the week with my colleagues. I therefore place a great deal of importance on a pleasant working environment and atmosphere. This also contributes to us as an organisation being able to focus entirely on both current and potential clients.

Ruud Coumans, Exhibitions Product Manager

MECC Maastricht to me means dynamism, versatility, expanding my network, learning something new each day, no two days being the same, top shelf events, colleagues with their own personal areas of expertise, and team spirit. To cut a long story short: a feeling of pride about the fact that we really go for it! It forms the basis of every successful event with satisfied stall holders, smiling visitors and an organised events team that can take satisfaction from top performance after the event…

Sven Wiertz,

Planning & Projectmanagement Project Manager

MECC Maastricht to me is the ideal employer. It is where I have the best job ever. No two days are alike; each new event means a wide variety of different customers and guests. Making sure events run flawlessly gives me an enormous sense of satisfaction. Loyalty to me means being prepared to stay faithful; keeping to agreements and being willing to go the extra mile so the client feels they have been given the sincere attention they deserve.

Paul Schelling, Duty Management Department Staff

Team spirit in the Duty Management Department is exceedingly important in order for an event to run well. You need to be able to trust each other. We each of us would go through the fires of Hell for the other person in order to arrive at a positive result. As MECC Maastricht's hosts, a customer-friendly attitude is of the utmost importance; we believe more than anything in satisfying clients and internal staff by providing the correct service. During an event, the Duty Manager in charge functions as an independent entrepreneur. They are there to answer the customer's every question, meet their needs and rise to their challenges."

Sylvia de Waal, Management Assistent

After 15 years, I still find MECC Maastricht a wonderful company to work for. It has inspiring managers who use a positive criticism approach to motivate their staff to grow in their work. This is how we as an organisation of professionals and specialists raise the bar ever higher. We additionally pay a great deal of attention across the organisation to knowledge transfer by means of internal workshops. In my job as Management Assistent, I am always given every opportunity to 'take the reigns'. You naturally want to take advantage of these opportunities and possibilities. If you deal with them well, you are given a great deal of room - I've even been able to follow a Higher Vocational course. It means you are  free to make your job as fun and interesting as you want!e
