This time the assembled Working Groups of the project will be doing the detailed specification work on 5G features and services that continue the development of the 3GPP system beyond day-to-day user communication towards a fully connected \u2018internet of things\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>One of the key advances in 5G \u2013 and in early planning for 6G standards for the 2030s \u2013 is the variety of use cases that are being drawn to this cellular technology, from transport systems, healthcare, Industrial automation, robotics, public safety, utilities\u2026 in fact, every conceivable technology sector is considering how best to use the ultra-reliable networks being worked on by 3GPP member companies.<\/p>\n<p>3GPP has recently hosted its plenaries at the MECC, in March 2024 &#8211; with over 500 delegates attending.
