[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\"\"[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The MICHELIN guide has decided to extend its partnership with Maastricht for the coming years. The prestigious MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony will continue to be held at MECC Maastricht from 2027 through 2029. This marks the continuation of the successful partnership between MICHELIN, MECC Maastricht, BBB Maastricht, the Province of Limburg, the municipality of Maastricht and the regional business community.<\/strong> Last Monday, the agreement was officially confirmed by MECC Maastricht and the MICHELIN Guide, in the presence of all the parties and partners involved.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Logical venue for the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony<\/strong>
\nFor many years now, MICHELIN has regarded Maastricht as one of the Netherlands\u2019 culinary hotspots. The region boasts a high concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants and stands out for its combination of culinary excellence, craftsmanship, local products and regional wines. The fact that the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony will remain in Maastricht emphasises this position. Not only will the event take place in a city with a strong epicurean reputation, but it will also be held in the very place where the foundations for the collaboration were first laid. With a strong hospitality sector, the Hotel Management School Maastricht \u2013 an internationally recognised knowledge institute in hospitality \u2013 and extensive experience in hosting international guests and events, the city offers an environment where quality and the guest experience are a given.<\/p>\n

All of this makes Maastricht the obvious setting in which to celebrate the very best that Dutch gastronomy has to offer.\u2019<\/p>\n

Added value for the city, region and sector<\/strong>
\nThe extension of the partnership highlights the appeal of Maastricht and Limburg as a culinary destination, and the city and province play an important role in this. Their involvement, together with that of various partners from the business community, contributes to creating an event that attracts national and international attention to both the culinary sector and the region as a whole.<\/p>\n

In addition to the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony, the annual gala dinner has also become a highlight of the programme. During the evening, 750 guests will be taken on a culinary journey by various Michelin-starred chefs, combining fine dining and entertainment to offer an extraordinary experience.<\/p>\n

Strong combination with BBB Maastricht<\/strong>
\nA key part of this success is the link with BBB Maastricht, the leading hospitality trade fair in the southern Netherlands. Since its return to Maastricht, the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony has formed an integral part of the trade fair programme. In recent years, this combination has proved itself to be a unique formula that brings together culinary excellence, innovation, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship. During the upcoming edition of BBB Maastricht, visitors will be able to follow the awards ceremony via a live broadcast directly from the show floor. Not only will the hospitality industry professionals, suppliers and business owners in attendance witness the announcement of the new MICHELIN stars, but the supporters of the nominated restaurants will also be able to experience this special moment up close.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Duijsings, BBB Maastricht Exhibition Manager: \u2018The fact that MICHELIN has once again chosen Maastricht underlines the power of what we have built together. By linking the MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony to BBB Maastricht, we are creating a unique platform where the stars of the culinary and hospitality sectors come together to inspire one another and shape the future of the industry. And since MECC Maastricht is the epicentre of gastronomy during these events, we see this as a great opportunity to showcase local products. On the Sunday before BBB Maastricht, we are also organising the \u201cProef je Regio\u201d regional products festival, which is free to attend. This is our way of showing that local products are accessible to a wide audience and are helping to increase the visibility of the culinary heritage of South Limburg and the surrounding area.\u2019<\/p>\n
