From October 27 to 30, 2026, more than 1,200 representatives from Big Science organizations and European research institutions will gather at MECC Maastricht for the Big Science Business Forum 2026 (BSBF 2026). Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) is a business oriented congress focused on high technology and innovation. These two days will focus on knowledge exchange and exploring collaborations in the development of advanced technology.
BSBF connects European research infrastructures and industry in key domains including:
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- High precision, small and large mechanical components
- Electrical, electromechanical and RF systems
- Normal and superconducting magnets
- Cryogenic technology and cooling technology
- IT, Big Data and (tele)communication & software

Previous editions of the Big Science Business Forum were held in Copenhagen (2018), Granada (2022), and Trieste (2024). The event in Maastricht is expected to be another key meeting point for professionals and companies in the high-tech and research sectors.
