EuropArtFair returns to MECC Maastricht on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. During this international art fair, more than one hundred professional artists from across Europe will present their work directly to visitors, without the involvement of gallery owners or commission fees.

EuropArtFair distinguishes itself through the direct interaction between artists and the public. Visitors can not only view and purchase art, but also meet the artists behind the works and engage with them personally. From painting to photography, ceramics, textiles and sculpture, the fair presents a wide range of contemporary disciplines and styles. In addition to visual art, visitors can also enjoy live music during EuropArtFair. On both fair days, a different jazz trio from Conservatorium Maastricht will provide a vibrant musical backdrop on the exhibition floor.

As in the previous edition, recent graduates of the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences will also be given their own presentation space. This offers young artists the opportunity to showcase their work to a broad audience and gain experience in a professional art fair environment. This project is made possible in part by Cultuurfonds Limburg.

This year, the fair is collaborating with Health Foundation Limburg and Deltaplan Alvleesklierkanker. In addition, the fair will present a special interactive art project by Limburg-based artist Daniel Heynen. For the fair, he is creating a large-scale artwork measuring 6 by 2 metres, which will be revealed step by step through donations. With every donation of at least €50, another section of the artwork will be unveiled. Donors will also receive an exclusive print of the completed work. The original artwork will be on full display during the fair.
