The NVvP Spring Congress is a highlight of the scientific association in many respects. Each year, more than 2,500 psychiatrists come to Maastricht to attend a three-day scientific programme covering the latest developments and key topics in psychiatry. The plenary programme features both international and national speakers, as well as leading figures in the field of psychiatry. It also provides space for experts by experience and debates on societal issues that affect mental health. The parallel programme offers a wide range of sessions, including various symposia, lively discussions and practical workshops. In addition, the large exhibition, featuring more than 50 mental healthcare institutions, booksellers and companies presenting healthcare innovations, is an important part of the event and forms the heart of the congress.
