On her 18th birthday, the Little Mermaid is finally allowed to swim to the surface and discover the world above. There, she falls in love with a handsome prince. If she wants to marry him, the Sea Witch presents her with an impossible choice: she can give the Little Mermaid legs, but in return, she must give up her voice forever.
