€135,000 asking price.
The first 25-guilder banknote ever printed will be on display and offered for sale at the MIF Paper Money Fair, to be held at MECC Maastricht from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 September. In 1814, the newly founded Nederlandsche Bank issued a 25-guilder banknote for the first time. Also known as the ‘Robin’, this note bears three signatures from the Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch Central Bank)’s board of directors. There are only a few of these notes left that were not handed in at the time, and when in good condition, the note is considered a unique, museum-worthy object. The asking price for the note is €135,000.
