MECC Maastricht wins ‘Best Meeting Location’ in the Netherlands

MECC Maastricht wins gold award for ‘Best Meeting Location’.

Yesterday, MECC Maastricht received the gold award for ‘Best Meeting Location 2023’. Trade magazine Meetings has been presenting the annual Meeting Awards to the best meeting and event venues in the Netherlands since 2006. MECC Maastricht is mainly known as the location where large exhibitions, congresses and events take place. Since the expansion and upgrade completed two years ago, MECC Maastricht now also has 55 brand-new meeting rooms.

Jop Thissen, Business Development Manager for MECC Maastricht: ‘Thanks to our years of experience organising a variety of meetings and events both large and small, we can make every aspect of your event worry-free. Thanks to our 55 brand-new (meeting) rooms, it will be even easier to make our customers’ wishes come true. After being named the “Best Conference Location” in 2021, we can now also proudly proclaim that we are the “Best Meeting Location” in the Netherlands.’

The award
The Meeting Awards is an annual initiative launched by trade magazine Meetings and consists of four audience prizes divided into the categories ‘Best Meeting Location’, ‘Best Event Location’, ‘Best Training Location’ and ‘Best Conference Location’. Yesterday, MECC Maastricht received the gold award for ‘Best Meeting Location of the Year’ for 2023. MECC Maastricht also won the award for ‘Best Conference Location’ for the year 2021. The other awards were won by the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht for Best Conference Location, Gardens Business Centre Oudlaen in Utrecht for Best Training Venue and Atlastheater Wildlands in Emmen for Best Event Location.
