From Friday 10 through Sunday 12 September 2027, the first edition of Camperworld Maastricht will be held at MECC Maastricht. With this new annual event, MECC Maastricht is launching an exhibition that combines the world of motorhomes and caravans with a dynamic and interactive outdoor lifestyle. This initiative is a clear response from MECC Maastricht to the growing market demand for outdoor holidays. The event is being positioned as the most complete camper- and caravan event in the Netherlands and Belgium, where visitors can not only discover the products and services on offer, but also actively experience how travel, camping and outdoor living come together. The pay-off ‘Your window to the world’ highlights how Camperworld Maastricht will offer visitors a complete overview of the world of motorhomes, caravans, travel and outdoor living.
Growing demand for outdoor holidays
The introduction of the event aligns witih the growing motorhome and caravan market in both the Netherlands and Belgium. This is due in part to growing interest amongst younger audiences: flexible forms of work and the rise of travelling professionals are creating increasingly diverse markets for sales. Camperworld Maastricht targets experienced campers, young families and couples, travelling professionals (also known as vanlifers) and visitors exploring the options.
The event brings together a wide range of sectors: from motorhome and caravan dealers and importers from the Netherlands and Belgium to tourism services providers and suppliers of accessories, technology applications and other services such as rentals and insurance. Lifestyle vendors specialised in outdoor, mobility and recreation are also represented.
Thanks to Maastricht’s central location in the Euregion, Camperworld Maastricht will have a wide reach in the Netherlands, Belgium and the German border area. The event targets an international audience, bringing together exhibitors and visitors from both countries.
New MECC Maastricht initiative
Camperworld Maastricht is organised by MECC Maastricht, and this initiative represents a further expansion of MECC’s portfolio of in-house productions. The organisation continues to build on its experience in developing and organising (inter)national events, such as the InterClassics classic car fairs in Brussels and Maastricht and hospitality trade fair BBB Maastricht.
