Second Home Fair 2026 experiences largest edition ever at MECC Maastricht:
Second Home Fair, the event where supply and demand in holiday homes come together, is preparing for its largest edition in Maastricht to date. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, MECC Maastricht will welcome 125 real estate agents from the Netherlands and abroad, who will inform and inspire visitors about purchasing a holiday home.
According to Vincent Peek, Marketing Manager at Second Home, interest in owning a holiday home is growing rapidly. “The changes in box 3 are causing a clear increase in interest in investing in a second home, especially abroad. We see this reflected in the larger number of exhibitors and in the expectation that we will welcome a record number of visitors this year.”
Informative programme and broad international offering
Second Home Maastricht offers a programme of seminars covering the practical aspects of purchasing a holiday home, including local laws and regulations and the impact of changes in box 3. The content is aimed at both orienting visitors and buyers already investing abroad. In addition, a broad international offering is present, with 125 real estate agents showcasing more than 25,000 holiday homes. These include representatives from Spain, Dubai, Greece, France, Portugal, Italy, Norway and Austria, alongside providers of Dutch holiday homes.
