Miriam Crutzen and Astrid Pinckaers appointed effective 1 June

With effect on 1 June 2026, Miriam Crutzen and Astrid Pinckaers have been appointed members of the MECC Maastricht B.V. Supervisory Board. Miriam Crutzen succeeds Lian Doesburg, who stepped down this past 17 April after her eight-year term expired. Additionally, Astrid Pinckaers has joined as a new member of the SB. The arrival of Crutzen and Pinckaers further strengthens the Supervisory Board. Patrick Roubroeks joined the SB two years ago. Together with Chairman Albert Verlinde, they make up the MECC Maastricht Supervisory Board.

Albert Verlinde, Chairman of the MECC Maastricht Supervisory Board: ‘We are very pleased we have been able to attract two strong candidates in Miriam Crutzen and Astrid Pinckaers. Their knowledge and experience put them in an excellent position to support MECC Maastricht in further realising its ambitions. After challenging years due to the COVID and energy crisis, MECC Maastricht achieved record results last year. Both sales and returns are expected to increase further in 2026.’

Rob van de Wiel, General Director of MECC Maastricht: ‘The reinforcement of our Supervisory Board with the addition of Miriam Crutzen and Astrid Pinckaers is a valuable step for our organisation. Their keen financial expertise and broad entrepreneurial experience are a great fit for the phase MECC Maastricht is in. I look forward to working with them to further expand our position and achieve our objectives.’

The organisation conveys its deep appreciation for Lian Doesburg’s efforts. With her financial expertise, she played an important role as supervisor during a period marked by major challenges, which ultimately contributed to a successful and positive outcome for the organisation.
