By train
Maastricht is easily accessible by international trains via TGV and/or Eurostar from major European hubs, and via Liège, Brussels or Aachen, Amsterdam. High-speed trains provide fast connections between Liège and Aachen and Cologne, Brussels and Paris, among others.
Maastricht has three train stations: Noord, Centraal and Randwyck. There is a direct train from Amsterdam Centraal to Maastricht every thirty minutes. This fast and comfortable way of travelling will take you to this attractive conference destination in less than two and a half hours.
Maastricht Randwyck is located a stone’s throw from MECC Maastricht. The Maastricht University Medical Centre (MUMC+), Maastricht University and various hotel facilities are also within walking distance of this station, making it the ideal arrival point for visitors to MECC Maastricht.
By 'Three Countries Train'
Arriva, NS and NMBS started operating the Three Countries Train in 2024. This train connects the cities of Liège, Maastricht, Heerlen and Aachen, offering passengers a direct connection between three countries: Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
The train is an important milestone for international rail traffic and makes it easier to travel within the Euregio. Passengers can travel quickly and comfortably between these international cities without having to change trains in Maastricht.
