On Sunday 5 October 2025, you can taste the pure flavours of Limburg at the regional products festival Proef je Regio – A regional food festival showcasing local producers and seasonal flavours). This free festival is an initiative of hospitality trade fair BBB Maastricht and Regional Food System Limburg (RVS-LB), bringing together local producers, culinary professionals and foodies.

The atmospheric market will introduce you to the products and stories of local and regional Limburg producers. Visitors can enjoy live cooking demonstrations with regional products and can join a wine tasting provided by Stichting BOB Mergelland.

Proef je Regio is part of Folie Culinaire and opens its doors exclusively to the general public on 5 October. An ode to local food and South Limburg’s culinary heritage.

This free event will be open from 12:00h to 16:00h.

The presentation of the MICHELIN Guide 2025 for the Netherlands will take place on Monday, October 6, at MECC Maastricht, alongside the hospitality trade fair BBB Maastricht.

Each year, the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony reveals the restaurants awarded one or more MICHELIN Stars, as well as the recipients of the new MICHELIN Green Stars and Bib Gourmands.

The event also includes the MICHELIN Awards, which spotlight professionals who have impressed the MICHELIN Guide’s inspectors with their talent and expertise.
