The ASPIS Open Symposium 2026 takes place on 2–3 July 2026 at MECC Maastricht, The Netherlands, as a satellite event of the ESTIV 2026 Congress. The symposium brings together scientists, regulators, industry representatives, and policy stakeholders to explore advances in animal-free chemical safety assessment and the transition toward next-generation risk assessment (NGRA).

The programme includes:
- Thematic sessions on NGRA, regulatory relevance, and scientific innovation
- Discussions on long-term impact and sustainability
- Flash presentations by early-career researchers
- Poster sessions and a poster award for outstanding contributions
- ASPIS Academy activities supporting the next generation of scientists
The symposium offers a unique opportunity to engage with the community, shaping the future of chemical safety assessment in Europe.
